This blog is dedicated to venting my passion for all that is medieval, particularly late 15th c. England and the Wars of the Roses. After reading Shakespeare’s Richard III a number of years ago, I’ve found my imagination captured by this distant age full of figures that exemplify all that it means to be heroic, tragic, villainous, and savage. These were real people. They laughed, they loved, they lived. We walk in the same places they once did and we are connected to them in a myriad of ways that are both subtle and quite tangible.
